Services

We believe worship is necessary for the total survival of humans formed in the image of God. In worship we respond to the grace of God revealed in Jesus Christ; we gather in His name, hear His word, and respond to Him in song and with offerings. We observe the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month in all four services, and you needn’t be a member of the United Methodist Church to receive Holy Communion!

St. Paul’s currently has three worship opportunities. Our 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services are traditional times of worshiping God. We generally always have a full choir or soloists, and for the late service, an occasional orchestra or ensemble to assist in listening for God’s Word. We also make use of a variety of volunteer musicians to enhance our experience of relating to God as a faith community.

Our New Day service is more contemporary, more informal and meets at 9:30 a.m. It is a good place and time to get to know a wide cross-section of members and sing some great new Christian praise songs.

Get plugged into a special time of worship with our family of God!

Lambs Class – 107 (Commons Area)

For over four decades, St. Paul’s has been home to the Lambs’ Class, a special Sunday school for person with developmental disabilities. Each Sunday morning approximately 15 members of the class gather in the classroom, located in the commons area of the church, to worship, pray study and share fellowship. Most Sundays, guitar/singer Terry Alvarez comes to lead the class in singing and praising. There is a time for coloring, crafts and sometimes short dramas or movies depicting bible stories. The morning culminates in sugar free snacks and juice.

Some class members go on to church service at 10:45 where they participate in ushering, while others leave to carry on Sunday activities. The class is non-denominational Christian and peace, joy and love of Jesus Christ is emphasized. All ages from teens to seniors are welcome, as are their caregivers if they wish to stay for the class. Two Sunday school teachers, Barbara Moseley and Heather Pollard are present to guide the class and teach the lessons. There are no learning requirements and each person participates at their own level.

If you have questions regarding the Lambs’ Class, please call the church at 526-6680. This is a fabulous ministry for all!
